A compact 10GbE meeting point for your workstation and storage
Connect a workstation, NAS and nearby systems through four multi-gigabit RJ45 ports without buying SFP transceivers. Browse our AI workstation range and components to plan the endpoints as well as the network. CRS304-4XG-IN is a standalone managed Ethernet switch, not a Wi-Fi router, network adapter or complete server.
Where this product makes sense
Workstation-to-NAS transfers
Four RJ45 ports negotiate 1, 2.5, 5 or 10GbE according to the attached devices and cabling. A slow endpoint, disk array or negotiated link remains the bottleneck.
A quieter desk or homelab
The enclosure acts as a heatsink and uses passive cooling. Keep ventilation clear: fanless does not mean heat-free or suitable for a sealed unventilated cabinet.
Flexible management and mounting
RouterOS v7 and SwOS dual-boot support provide switch-management options. Included DIN fastening hardware and screw-mount points support practical placement; an operating-system licence is already included.
Compatibility and limits
- Use Ethernet adapters that support the intended negotiated link speed. Existing 1GbE or 2.5GbE motherboard ports do not become 10GbE simply by connecting to this switch.
- Use correctly rated copper cabling and respect cable-length/quality limits for the target link speed. Validate the negotiated rate and error counters in the actual installation.
- The extra 10/100/1000 port is a separate Gigabit management connection, not a fifth 10GbE port. No SFP/QSFP sockets or transceivers are needed for the four copper data ports.
- PoE is an input power option: 802.3af/at PoE-in at 36–57V. This model does not provide PoE-out to cameras, access points or other powered devices.
- Two DC jacks and the 2-pin terminal accept 12–57V. The device selects the highest-voltage active input. Confirm polarity, voltage and supply capacity before using alternative power sources.
- VLANs and supported hardware offload features require correct configuration and firmware. Hardware switching throughput is not a promise of line-rate firewall, VPN, NAT or arbitrary routed processing.

What is included
One CRS304-4XG-IN switch; 48V 0.95A power adapter; DIN fastening set. The installed operating system and RouterOS licence are included.
Not included: Ethernet patch cables, 10GbE adapters, PoE injector/PSE, NAS and workstation are not included. Do not infer a regional mains-plug variant from a generic adapter photograph.

The commercial product warranty term is 12 months, subject to applicable terms and eligibility. Six useful answers before ordering
Do I need SFP modules for the 10GbE ports?
No. All four high-speed data ports are copper RJ45 ports. Connect suitable Ethernet cabling directly to compatible adapters.
Does it power cameras or access points with PoE?
No. PoE-in powers the switch itself. There is no PoE-out function for downstream devices.
Are there five 10GbE ports?
No. There are four 1/2.5/5/10GbE data ports and one separate 10/100/1000 management port.
Will it make a 2.5GbE motherboard faster?
The motherboard link stays limited by its adapter. For a 10GbE workstation connection, install a suitable 10GbE adapter and use appropriate cabling.
Can it replace a high-throughput VPN or firewall router?
It is primarily a switch. RouterOS supports additional networking functions, but hardware switching rates do not establish firewall, VPN or software-routing performance.
What is included, and which warranty route do I use?
The switch, 48V 0.95A adapter, DIN fastening set and installed OS licence are included. The commercial term is 12 months under applicable terms; contact Mineshop for troubleshooting and claim intake with your receipt and serial number.
