The Whatsminer M7A is a water-cooled SHA-256 ASIC miner built as a 2U server for 19-inch racks. MicroBT rates it at 470–526 TH/s with 14.5 J/TH. Liquid cooling keeps the hashboards at a stable temperature and delivers outlet water of up to 70 °C that can be reused for heating.

It connects to an AC 380–480 V supply and standard Ethernet and mines Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin SV (BSV) on any SHA-256 pool, which makes it a fit for hydro containers, rack farms and heat-recovery projects.

FAQs

Q: Can the M7A run with air cooling?
No. It is a liquid-cooled 2U server and needs a coolant loop with a pump and a dry cooler or cooling tower, for example in a hydro mining container or rack.

Q: What power supply does it need?
An AC 380–480 V supply and the custom power cable rated for at least 16 A. Plan for about 7200 W per miner in normal mode and up to 10 kW in high performance mode.

Q: What coolant and flow does it need?
Pure or distilled water with corrosion inhibitor and antifreeze, pH 7–8.7, at least 10 L/min per unit at up to 400 kPa, with an inlet temperature of 25–55 °C (25–45 °C in high performance mode).

Q: What is the difference between the M7A and the M7AS?
The M7AS is the more efficient version: 13.5 J/TH and 500–552 TH/s against 14.5 J/TH and 470–526 TH/s for the M7A, with the same chassis, power and coolant requirements.
